Ubisoft Holding Its Own Dang Holiday Games Sale

It is, indeed, the most wonderful time of the year for those folks who want to either pad their PC game libraries with things they may never play (me), re-buy things they had years and years ago on physical discs (also me) or gravitate some of their old-gen console library over the the PC for the sake of future-proofing (me again). Steam has a sale, GOG has a sale, Amazon has a sale, Green Man Gaming has a sale, and so on.

And now Ubisoft has rolled out a sale of their own on the Uplay store. And it’s a good one, too. Much of the highlights are Ubisoft properties like Assassin’s Creed, the first three of which are $5 each, with Revelations being $6.80, ACIII being $10. ACIV is still full price. Meanwhile, all the Prince of Persia games are $2.50 each.

There are also tons of non-Ubi deals, so it’s worth taking a gander. That’s the beauty of the PC gaming ecosystem these days: there’s a race to the bottom with these sales. And many of the non-Ubi games will activate on Steam if you’re into that.

I got the new Assassin’s Creed game for free with the purchase of a GTX 770 OC 4gig edition. That along with Batman Arkham Origins and Splinter Cell Blacklist.

Batman was fine because it was a steam code. But I was saddened when I found out to get the other two games, I was forced to get “Uplay”

The last thing I wanted was yet another piece of middleman software to stand between me and my games. So no doubt if anyone wants to take advantage of these deals, you as well will be forced to get Uplay.
