Ubisoft Is Working On Yet Another Assassin’s Creed Title, 2 New IPs

Ubisoft Montreal president Jade Raymond says that the studio is currently working on five IPs, including an unannounced title in the Assassin’s Creed series of games. The game is apparently set to follow Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

The studio has almost completed its work on Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which is due for release later this year on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

In addition to its work on an unannounced Assassin’s Creed game, Raymond stated that the studio is also working on two new IPs, neither of which have been revealed as of yet.

“We have two big collaborations coming that we’re not talking about, on two of the biggest franchises at Ubisoft,” Raymond said to Polygon. “We also have two new IP.”

Raymond declined to talk specifics, but stated that she was excited to get back in the trenches with the developers of Assassin’s Creed, which she produced half a decade ago.

Geez aren’t all of you Assassin’s Creed fans getting sick of seeing a title released every two years? It doesn’t seem like anything more than Call of Duty with knives. Good job diluting the brand, Ubisoft.

no real surprise there, at least its like every 2 years, so theres a little more time spent on the game. COD was/is doing every year. While playing the last AC game, I did say that the ship stuff could be its own game and not surprised they are doing it as its own.

What are you guys talking about?
AC is a yearly release isn’t it?

After the disappointment that was Assassins Creed 3 I will not buy another title from this series.

As for there 2 New IPs I will bet Scrooge McDucks money bin they are going to be FPS games.

Why don’t they focus on some of there other franchises like Cold Fear which I thought was a decent survival horror game which I think had potential, Prince of Persia or better or yet Beyond Good and Evil 2.

As for new IP ideas create a tactics type game like Battle ogre 64, Saiyuki Journey West and Final Fantasy Tactics, a turn based RPG or even a Fighting game.

STOP making military games.

@Roman and goose2989: Uh…Every two years?

AC2: 2010
ACB: 2011
ACR: 2011
AC3: 2012
AC4: 2013

And that’s only the main series, not counting those countless spin-off handheld games…
