Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed Unity (Teaser Trailer)

Assassin’s Creed Unity is the next game in Ubisoft’s marquee franchise and it’s set in Paris during the French Revolution.

Ubisoft surprised everyone today when it revealed those details in a teaser trailer along with this statement:

“We have been working on the new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years and although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand!” Ubisoft states. “So here’s a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin’s Creed Unity. Stay tuned – we’ll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!”

Assassin’s Creed Unity will be a next-gen exclusive and it’s penciled in for a holiday 2014 launch.

It’s been a seriously up and down recent history for Assassin’s Creed, and I was hoping Ubisoft might give its franchise a little room to breathe after Black Flag. Not so much.

That’s the same sort of thing we heard about Watch Dogs . . . I’m not holding my breathe for the promises or a marketer.
