Uncharted 3 Beta Goes Public, Rotates in New Game Modes

For the last week, only those of us willing to pay for a Playstation Plus subscription or who somehow got a code (from Twitter) were able to embark on the beginnings of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta. Today marks the end of the barrier and the opening of the beta to all Playstation Network users, so hop on your PS3 and start the painfully long download, if you haven’t already.

Also rolling out this week are a few new multiplayer modes, which Naughty Dog has dropped in to replace ones from last week. There’s no longer a free-for-all mode, for example: in its place is Objective Team Deathmatch. Also gone is the Co-op Survival mode (very much like Uncharted 2′s mode of the same name), replaced with “Hunter” mode.

Check out our impressions of the Multiplayer Beta after a week, and be sure to get a load of our Beta Game Guide as you venture out into new multiplayer battles.
