Unstarted: Uncharted 3 Beta is Live — and Not Working

After a stunning 91 minutes of being live, the Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta on the Playstation Network is already hobbled by technical problems.

Over at Game Front, we can’t seem to get the thing to run at all, and between throwing controllers to screams of anguish, we’ve found that it seems others are having trouble, too.

The beta, which is open to Playstation Plus members and users who were lucky enough to secure a code — like you can, from us, right here — seems to be experiencing server problems of some kind. Over on my end, I’m unable to connect to whatever 1965 reel-to-reel server Sony and Naughty Dog have set up to run this thing. The download worked fine, though.

Actually, it seems the system is working sporadically, but it is working. After several failures, as I was writing this post, I was able to connect to the beta.

So jam those X buttons, comrades! We may yet get a sampling of Uncharted 3 this day!

Can’t get into the Beta? Check out our video walkthrough…it’s the next best thing.
