
SEGA has confirmed that the PC version of Universe at War: Earth Assault for Europe has moved back from October to somewhere in the vicinity of early 2008. The release date for the Xbox 360 is still yet to be confirmed.
No reason was given for the delay, which will theoretically put the PC and console releases closer together.
Universe at War: Earth Assault is the latest in the real-time strategy series developed by Petroglyph, Star Wars: Empire at War developer. The title boasts of a persistent online multiplayer world which will pit players against each other for control of the universe. Earth Assault is also one of the few to provide cross-platform play between console and PC using Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live.
Universe at War: Earth Assault is still on schedule for an October 2007 release for the US.
