Unpleasant Horse Jumps Into App Store, Gets Pulled

The edgy iPhone/iPad game from PopCap’s more sinister new label, 4th & Battery, got rejected from the iTunes App Store on its first go-round.

Apparently the developer corrected whatever issues it Unpleasant Horse had (probably having submitted the game with too low a mark on Apple’s ESRB-like content rating scale) and the game actually appeared in the App Store. But it’s gone already.

Apple has yanked the game for reasons unknown, which it does from time to time for lots of different reasons. Most of the time, the problem gets wrapped up pretty quickly, and apps get resubmitted.

At the moment, though, PopCap fans will have to settle for Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies. We’ll let you know if and when Unpleasant Horse finally becomes available for sale.
