Valve: Steam Machines Delayed to 2015

Valve is delaying its Steam Machines until 2015.

The company announced the postponement today in a blog post on its Steam Community website. The devices are apparently being pushed back to allow for further development and tomake sure that gamers get “the best gaming experience possible” when it finally launches.

The Steam controller was originally announced back in September 2013 and left many gamers curious about its potential performance with Steam Machines, another potential product that was announced just a few days prior to the Steam Controller. It had been Valve’s intention to integrate its Steam Machines with the Steam Controller.

With this delay, we’ll have to wait until next year to see how the Steam Machine fares in the marketplace. In the meantime, we’ll have to rely on the beta testers out there to keep us up to date on the Steam Machine experience.

I’ve never understood how you play games on that thing without the four buttons on the face. Oh well, its sounding more and more like vapor anyway.
