Valve Not Gonna Be at E3

I love Valve not just for their great games; sometimes I feel like they can read my mind. That feeling has never been more prominent than right now, after reading Valve’s email announcement about how they won’t be showing any games at E3. This is the email.

Lots of folks have mailed asking about appointment times, etc., with Valve.

Well, we are not showing any titles at this year’s show. So no appointment is needed.

That looks like something I would write, because it’s hilarious. It also serves to soften to the blow of them apparently not revealing new Half-Life stuff at the show. But now I’ve just reminded myself of that, and so I’m sad now. Hold on — let me read the email again… OK, I’m fine now. Deep breath.

There just out of Portal2, the likelyness of a Half-Life Ep3 announcement was slim. Still very sad indeed.
