VGA 2011: Command and Conquer: Generals 2 Debut Trailer

It’s been 8 years since the release of Command & Conquer: Generals, and it seems BioWare has picked up the franchise to bring us the long-awaited sequel. This is a drastic departure from BioWare’s usual style, but I’m sure this trailer, debuted tonight at the 2011 VGAs, has more than a few C&C fans giddy.

Bioware? Really??? First you make your very first MMO now your very first RTS? C&C hasn’t had a decent title since Westwood got bought up. I’m intrigued only for the Bioware name on it, which it probably why EA gave it to Bioware in the first place.

But in the end it’s the game play that is going to matter and it Bioware screws it up like the last few C&C titles then I will gladly pass on this one.

And the Generals series? Come on, the Generals series was the worst of the 3 series.

So… A C&C game with tons of voice acting, companion characters, and morality conversation choices? Well… okay.

Guys..don’t get mad at Bioware. Bioware Victory, the team thats creating this was not a part of Bioware until just recently. They were part of EA and now they’ve been given the Bioware name. Think about it..Bioware gets more money, at the same time the core developing teams (Austin, Edmonton etc) won’t be the ones producing the game. In a way, they’re using Bioware’s name
