This one tugs at your heartstrings.
Recently, the Walter Reed Army Medical Center has made an event out of bringing together donated TVs and Wii consoles to help cheer up wounded army personnel. These are people with a lot of scars and prosthetic limbs, but some of them manage to rip out a few chords on Guitar Hero 2.
It’s the least that can be done for those who are getting shot up in Baghdad. Say what you want about the war, I’m glad video games are making some of the soldiers brought back in stretchers feel more at home, or at least a little better.

as a vet myself, i completely understand the values of video games. my all out addiction to gaming didn’t really take place until I was in the Army. Gaming is a way to get away from it all for a while.
