Warhammer Online Beta Sign-Ups Already Have Surpassed 400,000

warhammer_online.jpgBetas always get people excited (see: Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, The Burning Crusade), and Warhammer has already done so to the tune of 400,000 folks, all of whom have already submitted an application for the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning closed beta. Considering it’s an MMO, that number isn’t particularly overwhelming, but considering registration isn’t done yet, there might be a huge group of people that get to try out the game before its early 2008 release date.

In case you cynics out there are wondering, no, there is no miniature painting involved in the game.

EA Mythic’s title will be holding a beta for both North America and Europe. Details and sign-up information can be found here.

It is pretty cool how people get so into the release of these video games.
