Warner Bros. Delays PC Version of Batman: Arkham City

So Warner Bros. today decided to give a big ole middle finger to PC gamers by delaying the PC version of Batman: Arkham City to sometime in November. Only the PC version! This seriously just happened.

Look, it’s one thing for a studio push back the PC version of something like Call of Juarez: The Cartel, because nobody cares about that, but this is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and those who opt for the PC version are going to have to wait? I’m pretty bummed right now. November is already going to be the most packed monh for games in my lifetime, and I didn’t really need another one cramming the release schedule. I wish I could make jokes about this, but I’m just too sad!

A PC version being delayed to after the console version??

Are you sure this game isn’t being published by Ubisoft?

Tell me about it! ARRGGHH! In the past, I would give in to the temptation of buying the console version with various games, knowing I would still buy the PC version when it released. Agreed, it’ll be difficult for me to juggle ANY game with SKYRIM. Oh well, hopefully it’s just because it needs more polish…and it’s NOT some marketing scheme!

I don’t see why anyone is surprised by this. They released the PC version of Arkham Asylum a month after the console versions.

Well, actually it was three weeks, but you get the idea.

it probably is a marketing strategy to get the crap versions (console) to sell more and first, hence the higher prices before they sell the PC versions aka better audience. you know the phrase “leave the best to last”. And its same for what ubisoft does to pc gamers – treats us like sh*t.
