Warning: New Resident Evil 6 Demo Coming September 18

Here’s a quick public service announcement for those of you looking forward to playing Resident Evil 6 when it drops a few weeks from now. Capcom announced today in a press release that they’re making a new RE6 demo available on XBLA and PSN on September 18.

The new demo will feature content not included in the previous demo that was available only to people who bought Dragon’s Dogma for Xbox 360. It will offer access to parts of each of the game’s three main campaigns, either solo or cooperatively. In one mission, the player can select either Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper for a romp through Ivy University. In another, the player takes either Jake, or Sherry Berkin to battle mutants on the streets of Lanshiang. Finally, play as either Chris Redfield or Piers Nivans for a battle through Edonia in the final demo.

One last thing: PS3 owners who purchased Dragon’s Dogma will also get access to the demo previously available exclusively to Xbox 360 owners. Resident Evil 6 launches October 6, 2012.
