Watch The Mass Effect 3 Voice Cast Revealed Trailer

As we get closer to the March 6 release of Mass Effect 3 – AKA the day North American’ productivity drops to zero – BioWare is entering the final leg of the marketing campaign. Today, it’s a closer look at the voice cast of Mass Effect 3. Featured in this latest trailer is Tricia Helfer (Edi), Seth Green (Joker), Martin Sheen (The Illusive Man), Freddy Prinz, Jr. (James Vega), Ali Hillis (Liara) and of course, the one and only Jennifer Hale.

This trailer has no spoilers, but it’s noteworthy for giving us our first real look at new squad member James Vega, who is way beefier than I expected, appears to resent Commander Shepherd for some reason, and boxes. Also notable: though you hear his voice, BioWare decided not to interview Mark Meer (Male commander Shepherd). It seems even they know he kind of sucks.

Enjoy.

Meer sucks? really?

Hale is (sounds like) an emotionally dead butch lesbian how is that any better?

Damn warp, dial down the hate slightly. And to clarify, it’s not that Mark Meer sucks, exactly, it’s that he’s the king of sounding like One Take and it’s done. Every recorded bit of dialogue sounds like the first read through. But I love him still!

cant reall say i like Hale better. Putting Warps opinion in slightly better terms, she sounds simply unemotional and unexciting. After all, it’s everydays job to stop massive aliens from destroying the galaxy right?

Meer makes me at least giggle every two or three lines. Can’t see why it’s bad that it sounds as if it was recorded on the first try, it sounds rather well.
