Westinghouse Releases Affordable 26″ High-Def LED Monitor

LED LCD TV’s are the big advance in the home theater market so it’s not surprising that the crystal clear technology would make its way back to PC monitors. LED tech is a premium upgrade for 50″ televisions,  but thanks to Westinghouse Digital it is now a pretty affordable option for your gaming PC.

The Westinghouse LD-2685 offers LED clarity on a 26″ multifunction PC monitor and easily doubles as an HDTV. The LD-2685 sports a max resolution of 1920×1080 and includes 2 HDMI inputs alongside the traditional VGA and Component options. While it’s not home theater oriented (meaning you’re probably not going to be inviting 10 buddies over to watch movies or game on it) it does allow you to plug in a PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 all to the same monitor in your man cave/office/den.

The LD-2685 hits retail later this month for approximately $380.

Samsung has been selling large LED monitors for months. Unless this is an IPS panel it’s not exciting news.
