The fans and Sony won. Microsoft folded on their stupid DRM and always-online bulls*** which was essentially an admittance that they got it wrong and nobody with half a working brain would ever want to buy their console unless they got their s*** together. Sony convinced a significant number of 360 owners that they’d be better off choosing PS4 next time round (although I imagine some will now either go back to Xbox One or buy both) and reassured its own loyal consumer base that they had a good product at a far friendlier price than their competitors. Nintendo barely had a presence which to be honest is probably a good thing for them, as aside from announcing a long-awaited trophy/achievement thing there’s not much they could have announced that would have stood out in the wake of the Sony/Microsoft exchange. Even a big announcement would have gone under the radar and not got the attention it deserved.
