We’ve talked about Wildstar before, and if you want to hear GameFront Editor-in-Chief Janelle Bonanno go crazy over it, just check out this podcast. Carbine Studios’ sci-fi MMO is still in beta, but you can check it out this weekend, if you have a key. How do you get one? It’s simple!

  • Stay tuned to GameFront for all your Wildstar news, and watch your email for your code.

We’ll be handing out keys until we run out, but if you don’t get one from us, our friends over at The Escapist are giving away keys as well. You can enter their giveaway here. Once you get your key, the instructions to redemm it can be found at the end of this post

Hi, many things exict me about Wildstar, I love the art, the classes, the fact that a science-fiction MMO ( rare are this one) but a the top of my list the warplots. Upgrading and customize her own fortress in 40vs40 batlle, its a fun way to keep yourself engage in multiplayer after reaching the top level. Hope to try it soon and play it for long.

So, Wildstar has peaked my interest in the past, and I can’t say no to a free beta key

Justin

On April 17, 2014 at 9:33 am

Please let it be true! Who doesn’t want to play a game where teamwork is more rewarding.I love how classes are introduced to give more content and also more reasons to play each one. Also how depending on the play style one might want, you can keep your weapons you like and for the most part roll a Tank or DPS. Just another great way of adding versatility. ^^^^^^^^^^ Mass battles ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Enough said.

I’m looking forward to an mmo that might not be the grind-fest that others are… And maniacal laughter. Can’t forget about maniacal laughter.

If the sci-fi setting change of pace from the usual fantasy darring-do isn’t enough, it’s the saturday morning cartoon attitude and the unique art style that really piques my interest. My hope is that the Paths system actually delivers on making exploration both enjoyable and rewarding, so a Beta key is just the ticket to give it a whirl!

My buddy who has played the beta describes the game as “ratchet and clank meets MMO.” Been trying to get a key for a few weeks. Looking forward to trying out a more action oriented MMO!

I would like the wildstar beta key because from what I’ve seen, I’m not sold on the game. It looks good, but I’m still not sure if I am going to get it. Also, I have been.in many betas before, providing substancial feedback to the developers, both good and bad. I think I would be a great choice.

NCsoft are a godsend in the MMO stage, and I’m looking forward to anything new from them. This game is awesome by the looks things, and i can make sure it would be more awesome later on by doing what a beta tester is supposed to be doing – reporting a bunch of glitches and bugs.

Nyara

On April 17, 2014 at 11:47 am

This is on of those goofy MMO’s that you just wanna play for the fun of it. The animation is a bit cartoon-y for my tastes, but it’s just the kind of pallet cleanser that any one could use to break away from the over blown graphics of other games. I am most looking forward to the fighting system, pve, and story line of the game. Its not easy to create a new world, especially an alien one. I’d like to see what they’ve concocted for this world’s history.

Gumba Masta

On April 17, 2014 at 11:55 am

I’m looking forward to Wildstar as it seems to try and shake up some of the common mechanics in MMO’s to give it some new and interesting variations. Also the thought of a flying plot of land with house that I can customise sounds sweet.

What I’m looking most forward to in Wildstar is the dungeons! I watch a ton of videos on youtube and they seem so much fun doing the boss’s ‘dances’ and avoiding all of the attacks. I can’t wait! Oh, and the fact that it’s in space! And the houses… so many things!

georgeb

On April 17, 2014 at 4:19 pm

Wildstar looks like it will put a spin on the classic MMO genre, and this is exactly what I’ve been looking forward to. It reminds me of the times I used to play Ratchet and Clank, and the art style of the game amazes me.

Avery

On April 17, 2014 at 4:48 pm

LOTS of things look amazing; the Paths, the gorgeous environments, the fact that it’s a sci-fi based MMO (rare in my opinion), and it’s a fresh take on the genre. Gotta support new IPs, and I loved Aion and NCsoft in general!

Douglas

On April 17, 2014 at 4:52 pm

Many things excite me about Wildstar, but the two that do so the most are the style and design direction. The art, animation and humor give me that old Ratchet & Clank nostalgia, with various expressive species in a somewhat sociopathic universe with a comical tone on their goals and flaws. The design direction is encouraging since it’s breaking off from the “This MMO did well, let’s steal and pretty up their design to do better!” trend as they are clearly trying to pursue their own mechanics with the intent of making an MMO that is fun in every way it’s played.

Louist

On April 17, 2014 at 5:27 pm
