World of Warcraft Gets Free, Limited Server Transfers

If you are getting stuck in login queues when trying to hop into your World of Warcraft server, then Blizzard is making an offer that might interest you — if you’re up for leaving your server, that is. For the next week or until destination servers reach a cap, characters residing on six WoW servers will have the option of making a move for free. The transfer options are as follows:

Area 52 -> Turalyon
Stormrage -> Turalyon
Tichondrius -> Blackrock
Illidan -> Blackrock
Bleeding Hollow -> Korgath
Darkspear -> Korgath

So you don’t get to choose where you’re heading, but at least you are assured that other expats from your server will be with you.

At the moment there’s a bug saying character migration is undergoing maintenance, but it’ll get sorted out soon enough, I’m sure.

thx, VG247

Long queue times? Seriously? So their bleeding users so fast now that they’ve resorted to excessive server consolidation, is that it? Wow..so much fail.

But just in case, Long Q times have always been a problem on select servers. Free Xfers usually dont help, as they are usually to dead servers, wo unless 5 or 6 guilds uproot, you risk going someplace its impossible to recruit at.

Can we stop the talk of WoW dying until WoW stops bringing in more money than small countries?
