A new vertically-scrolling shooter has been released on the Xbox Live Arcade today: Triggerheart Exelica. Unlike most Arcade games, this one will require that you own either a hard drive or the 512MB memory unit. The 64MB just won’t cut it. The game costs 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
As I wrote the other day, the unique selling point of Triggerheart is its “unique anchor shot element” which allows you to grab an enemy and use them as a shield or throw them back out into the fray. Sounds pretty interesting, and it’ll almost certainly be the main point in the latest edition of XBLA Hors D’oeuvres.
And stay tuned for a late-to-the-party edition covering last week’s Arcade release, N+.

Isn’t this the same thing as Ikaruga, just under a different name?
