XBLA Wednesday 2/6: Poker Smash

Today’s new game on Xbox Live Arcade, as I posted about yesterday, is Poker Smash – a match three game where you attempt to create poker hands as your pile of cards slowly scrolls upwards. I tried it out for around 10 minutes this morning and had a pretty good time; initially it seemed like it would get boring pretty quickly, but as you’re playing it throws out challenges for you to accomplish while playing, like getting a four-of-a-kind with Aces, which keeps mixing things up and motivates you to do something more than make three-of-a-kind hands again and again.
The full version costs 800 Microsoft Points ($10) and takes up just under 100MB on the storage device of your choice.
Crystal Quest owners out there will want to check the game out today, as a title update will bring some new changes to the game. You can read more about that here.
