Xenosaga Invades Stores Today

The twelve episode Xenosaga anime series is out in stores today. The anime is a somewhat uneven translation of the original video game. It’s very pretty, but since it’s only twelve episodes there’s no way they can cram the complete story from the game into the anime. If RPGs aren’t your thing, you’re still probably better of watching the series than spending all the time playing the game. If you like the story, the anime series premiered in 2005 so there is little chance of more anime episodes being produced after these twelve so you’ll have to play games 2 and 3 to get the full story. Strangely, AD Vision’s English dub doesn’t use the games voice cast so don’t be surprised when your favorite characters don’t sound the way they do in the game.
