In another forum there has been chatter about our Escort Ship, about whether or not this is an original model and if it's actually of the WWII era.

First of all, our model is an original model by D_Fast, despite it's striking similarity to a model posted by someone else, who was later found to be a fraud. It is of an actual ship, however.

Secondly, while this model may or may not be an accurate depiction of a WWII-era ship, there are plenty of authentic vessels that this model closely resembles, both in relative size and purpose. To name a few there are a number of patrol ships that served in various roles including that of subchasers, minesweepers and as landing craft support. The varied armament we've chosen represents this multi-purpose "class", and all were found both in the invasion of Normandy as well as in the South Pacific. In a way, it may fill a versatile role that would otherwise require several different models.

i placed it into my map to try it out, it doesnt look too modern lets put it that way, fits in nicely with the other ships. There is nothing on the ship that they couldnt of had in the ww2 era.

i have seen the model of the mod teams ship and it does look pretty good. but i would love to see done is with the depth charges. the person who controls the depth charges should be in a seperate possiton and have the secondary fire of a depth charge launcher instead of the primary fire of droping it off the back of the ship. the launche launced one depth charge at a time and was on a swivel to shoot off the wides and cuold aim up and down for targeting they are air powered like my potato cannon :agreed: and would fling em out about 50-100 yards, also like my patato cannon . when they used depth charges they mainly threw em over board, sat back and watched the fish fly :D . in videos i have seen the water blast of it goes about 50 feet into the air. remember this is just a suggestion.

The chances of polys being cut the same way but two diff people are impossible.

Thats the easiest way to catch a modle theif. If they refuse to post a wireframe of it, youve got your man.
