I enjoy playing BF1942 very much. The tank is my vehicle of choice. But there is a problem with the tanks of BF1942. Their engines dont sound rough enough to be those of a tank. WHen you watch a movie with tanks in it, or a historical movie with tanks in it, the tanks sounded like they had beasts of a motor in them. I would appreciate it if someone would perhaps come up with more of a rigid sound...like that of a muscle car without a muffler...or an 18wheeler without mufflers on it. They're loud indeed...and have a very powerful sound to them. This i believe would strike fear in the hearts of the enemy...psychologicaly effecting them by hearing the noise of a tank before seeing it. SO if someone would work on it please?

Yeah, that's very true. When I watched Saving Private Ryan we had it playing on my friends monster of a sound system. The subwoofer was about the size of my car, and man you could feel the tanks before you even heard them, the entire house vibrated, and then the sound, OMFG!?!?

These tiger tanks in BF1942 must have pansy assed suzuki motors instead of the Maybach HL-210-P45 V12 21,353 cc developing 642 bhp, that's right, 21 litres displacement, and they weighed 57 tons, wow!

here's a link to the site with the info:

Oh and they should be bigger too, they had 5 crew. Can you imagine in BF1942 if they were realistic in size and armament, you wouldn't see these damn grenade spammers jumping in front of them and tossing grenades under the tracks like they do now, they'd all be cowering behind the nearest 10 metre thick concrete wall like the pansies they are!
