no this is not a thread about pastry, so stop drooling, this is a thread about modding, and whether or not i can have my cake and eat it too, i must have blood in bf, absolutely must, but also, i found a few nice skins that i would love to have, problem is, when i extract my texture rfa archive, and rename it, the textures get lost in the game, all of the models and maps and vehicles in nothing but pure white...talk about a snow day.., but this only happens when the blood patches are installed, so i know its not the way i extract the textures, my question is, can i somehow replace the dds files within the rfa, then get the texture.rfa workin again with the dds files inside it so the texture error wont happen and the blood patches will work and ill have my sweet ass chrome colt and elite german skins....please help...any help at all would be appreciated, oh, just incase anyone needs to know to better understnad, i have 2 bloodpatches installed and im not sure which one is causing the texture drops when using the extracted texture folder, the patches are MDK's 1.2 retail blood patch, and the standalone Merciless BLoodFX addon....again...plleeaassseeee help!!!

Hey Fiyaitup,we all have to start somewhere !!.:agreed:

FYI merciless bloodfx works beautifully Its even possible to tweak the mod if you wish to spray the blood further from changing the Object.con.I'm still using vers 3.5 and havin' no probs with all the new textures\skins:p

I'd suggest uninstalling one of the BLood mods if you think its causing a problem .And if you renamed the original texture.rfa there's still hope, because you need it.What you might try is copying your weapon.dds file into the BF2942 texturesets level folder for say MARKET GARDEN and then load the game run MC texset mod in CREAT and choose MARKET GARDEN and if everything still workling properly it'll be there. If not then the new Texture.rfa you created if thats what you've done may be the source of the error.Goodluck:cya:

thanks, i only made a new texture.rfa afterwards to try to remedy it, the only thing i could figure was that one of the bloodpatches needs to call on the texture.rfa to work, with it renamed and it was unable to work and caused textures to be lost, i just thought about it, and maybe i could change the .con files and get somewhere, btw, making blood spray further is cool...but can i make it more dense...?, thanks for ur help man, and thanks for the luck, ill probably need it

Well what Im figurin u must've done was get a the rfa for the blood patch and just extract texture.rfa, you have to extract any "texture" rfas to the battlefield 1942 folder. I just move my rfas to an "rfa" folder in the archives directory. Then i extract em so they go to the textures folder in .dds form.

Hope that helps u :)
