I was thinking about this and think it would be a great idea to make a Canadian Forces Addon for bf1942.

I mean we did fight hard along side the Americans in WW2.

Just a thought to anyone thinking of working on a Modification.

Let me know :D

If anyone is good at modding here is a list of guns that Canadians would have used, most are used by both the brits and the americans.

1. Pistol - Inglis 2. SMG - Sten Mk.V or Thompson (but with the drum instead of the clip) 3. Machine Gun - Bren Gun 4. Rifle - No.4 5. Rifle w/scope - No.4 with scope

With the No.4 rifle, someone has really gotta fix the time it takes to rack the bolt between shots, i can do it faster!

Also some flag skins (during WWII, not the maple leaf), and uniform skins would be nice (QOR, RHR, or the CGG).

I am [CGG]iNgLiS, Leader of the Canadian Grenadier Guards Gaming Clan and if anyone is interested in pursueing this mod but needs info I have it all. I can test and everything. I would do it myself but I don't have the skills. I'm still learning this RFA stuff, im used to the PK3s of RtCW. Anyways, I hope someone takes on this challenge. :dropsjar:

And for those who don't believe that the Canadians were that effective then read this. The Queen's Own Rifles Canadian Regiment was the only regiment, of any country to fully complete their objectives during the D-Day Invasion. No british, or american regiment completed this task. But the grit and detirmination of the Canadians allowed them to complete it! YAY!

Thanks for the info.

I am going to see if I can find the people and time to try to make this Mod.

Hopefully it will all work out.

I hope it works out! If u need any help (realism, etc) email me, Click Here! I can beta test and even help with some basic skinning, I'm still learning BF1942 but I was decent in RtCW and MOH:AA. Coding and other stuff would be up to the rest of you. Tell me how it is and I might try and see if anyone can help out too, if you are really interested in pursuing this.

I'm not trying to upset any of you canadians but they did not play a huge role in ww2 as much of you most likely know, altho im sure if I was canadian I would love for them to be in it tho. Im not 100% sure but I do not think you can create another team in BF1942, but I might be wrong, good luck to you trying to do it tho. only thing I can see you doing is replacing a team

Actually Canadians played a bigger role than they are given credit for. Take a trip through Holland sometime to realize that. And let's not forget Italy. The Americans weren't the only ones there. (Actually I have access to a day by day account written by my friends father and it makes for an interesting read of life as a tankmen in Italy.) However I don't want to start a flame war but before making a comment that we didn't play as big a role I would recomment you re-read a little History first before making such a comment. WW2 was won because of the efforts and co-operation of all the nations involved in the conflict and we should not dishonor any of the dead by making this a we did more than them thing. But ya know what?! a Canadian Mod would be great! S
