Hey all. I've been doing some skinning and wanted to step it up a level by modifying certain in-game character models. I am able to create the model in Milkshape, but I can't seem to export it into a cohesive object that can be recognized by BF. What I need is some detailed information about assigning textures to models in BF (do the textures need to be in a certain location to be properly copiled into the model info, etc..) as well as the option settings when exporting the model (there are settings for "high quality collision mesh" and "low quality collision mesh" and selectable items from my grouping list...).

If you've done some modelling and skinning with this format using Milkshape, I would really appreciate some assitance. I'm not a kid messing around for the first time - I just need some specifics to complete this project.

For reference sake, I'm attempting to replace the helmet used by US soldiers in the DersertCombat mod with the new MCCUU MARPAT boonie cap. I've already skinned the player model in both MARPAT and CADPAT:
