Right, so everyone knows what the Sniper looks like in game right?

I cudnt find a screenie :(

But on his head, he has the bushy effect...

See if you guys think like me :P

I think that having that effect on say....a tank would be awesome!

and give it white bushy effect then for the snowy maps?

I dont know exactly how they did that bush thing but i reckon it would be f**king awesome if it was in game on tanks!

What ya think?

Cheers...(soz for language)

Would need to be a mod - would require a new model - so would have to be server side.

Tried that - game gets laggy. And you don't need a new model, you can attach existing bushes (etc.) to a tank.

Daniel 2005, I'm afraid I haven't got a copy of the file(s), I've done that over a year ago and deleted them after I decided that the graphics/CPU load was too high because of the increased polycount of the entire vehicle after my modifications. What I did was just attach default bushes (afribush or whatever they're called, there are lots of different bush or vegetation objects that you can use) to existing vehicles, on top, on the front, wherever they were "good looking". It was simple con editing, no modelling, just like when you attach another object (tank turret, weapon, a seat etc.) to a vehicle. I'm also afraid you can't avoid a loss of overall game performance even if you modelled the camo object directly onto the vehicle mesh (again, more polys). This may work in vanilla BF42 on vanilla maps to a certain extent, but not on heavily modded maps in a mod that has a lot of extra vehicles, effects and so on. I guess DICE would have used that "idea" and released 'bushy' camo vehicles themselves if it were not for the negative effects I mentioned. The original vehicles usually are optimized for best game performance.
