It can't help you with the Photoshop problem but I think your problem with the RFA extractor stems from an absense of the NET framework runtime files.I had a simular problem ..everytime I tried to install the NET framework SDK it failed because of this itchy problem.Have you download the NET framework 1.1 runtime exe its the one thats 24.2 megabytes in size. Here's the url for it..

http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/default.asp?url=/downloads/sample.asp?url=/MSDN-FILES/027/002/055/msdncompositedoc.xml

If do have it check that you got the correct Drivers (Dll's).I think from memory one was MSCOREE.dll maybe? Hope this has shed some light on it for you:cya:

The problem you are having with photoshop is that you are choosing "YES" to diplay mip maps which you should not do. If you do,do that then you will get what you are seeing. So the answer to your problem is when you open a .dds file in photoshop choose no to display mip maps.

 it makes sense ,editing textures with mipmap's in PSP7 its also advisable not to open the mipmap data with the file you should just hit NO.:p
