how is glass handeled in battlefield? should i make it a different object in 3d studio max or is it handeled by texturing?

I think that if you want it breakable then make it a different object but if you want it "bulletproof" then just a texture.
I've never used 3DS Max so I'm guessing based on my knowledge of game programming with C++ and OpenGL...hope I helped.:)
