this has probably been asked a hundred times:
i've got 1.31 (who does'nt) and i'm kinda sick of the new MG42 and browning sounds (not to mention the Bar).. so: can the new sounds be replaced? some sort of extracted moded file or whatever? or is such a file already available? please help me with that someone.

Replace the sound.RFA with the original one,
How to get it, I'm not sure, but that should do the trick.
Maybe you could re-install, copy it, and then patch the game. Bit of a long way though.

So time ago a guy realesed the old sounds. try searching on Fileplanet and search.
