Can anyone make a map that is not based on some map already included in the game? If you're going to actually edit an existing map, at least take the balls to produce something decent and original instead of some crap like "It's Wake Island, only the bridges are significantly wider and higher, so I can feel cool for being able to fly under them. Look, Mom. Maybe you care. Wait, nope".

I challenge anyone to: -Make a map from scrap (size isnt really an issue, you're not getting paid), or -Edit something nobody likes, and do something that's at all creative. How bout sniper hideouts? How bout strategic bunker placement instead of little random semicicrcles? How bout the use of trenches, ladders, turrets, in anything other than a half-ass yin-yang design dedicated to your newest 3-week girlfriend? -Pull their uncreative head out of their otherwise innocent ass.

How bout making a map more difficult or challenging, instead of something that makes it easier to blow crap up. Wow. Take a screenshot. Nobody cares. It's this "State of Emergency" mindset that makes people think blowing crap up is fun (It is) for hours upon hours (It isn't).

Think I'm wrong? Prove it. Show me a decent map.

Alright then...here we go.

People probably makes those replicant maps because they haven't spent much time making maps or learning how to, or are still learning and don't know enough to make their own from scratch. Part of learning is doing easy things working your way up. There aren;t many easily used map editors out there (that I know of) and not that many people make maps or have tried or are learning. Have you made a map? I hope you have, to justify this bullshit your spewing out. Also, maybe they wanted to make a map so they can fly under a bridge and feel 'leet', so what, let em have their fun. They liked it so maybe they went and posted it if others wanted it. If your so hungry for this uber leet map your thinking of (which it does sound good though, those descriptions you gave) why the **** don't you just go learn (unless you already have) how to make BF 1942 maps and do so...so we all don't suffer the terrible atrocities of lightly editied default maps.

Oh yeah...blowing things up as being a form of fun...that's an opinion, if you don't like it fine...then don't speak for everyone else. How funny, i've just shot down just about all that shit you thought was so slick and correct...think a little harder next time...maybe you will realize the truth. I signed up for this forum...just because what you wrote I found so stupid.

And apart from all that (my two bits worth now) there are quite a few maps made from scratch if you bothered to seriously look around in the files section of BF1942.files.

Ok they may not be 100% perfect maps in your estimation, but they are there!

For the 22,000th f**king time! The offical map editor, used to create all the fancy maps we get with the game HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED! In a IGN Insider interview DICE said it would be released sometime early this year. The things mappers are using right now don't really allow you to make a map in the same detail as DICE did it.

Kilroy -- Stop f**king complaing like some spoilt little fat ass child that didn't get what he wanted!, if you think the custom maps out now (made differently then the offical maps were, the way they're made now is hard enough, with non offical programs etc) are crap, THEN YOU GO TRY MAKING THEM!

People like Kilroy piss me off, they think mapers/modders have an obligation to make new additions to the game. Killroy your one little ignorant prick that thinks everything in the world revolves around you! How bout you go spend hours of your time making a map for all of us!
