Originally posted by .:TUCK:. Whats up. I have heard there is a way to use the single player map in the multiplayer demo. So far I haven't seen any info on this. I do know the new patch will be out very soon, once it passes testing. Let me know!

There was a mod made that ported over the tobruk map, but apperntly it was very buggy (no wonder) and it was unbalanced.

The links to it are gone.

An amazing starwars Mod could be made out of this game. Recreating some of the epic battles of the Movies. The Ground battles of Hoth, Naboo, Geonosis and Endor. The air craft battles such assaults on the Death stars. And not just limited to the scenarios of the movies, this is the perfect engine for it, although creating a melee combat system for the jedi's may prove to be difficult. Anyway I'd love to see a starwars (and many others) mod created for this game.

Just out of curiosity, how editable will this game be, are they going to be releasing a SDK with the game or what? Like what are the details behind the editing scene, any news? They'd be foolish to make it uneditable, i mean thats what lead half-life to become what it is today through Valves support of the editing teams.

If they DO let people mod this game, all i can say is, i hope it stays "real" and people dont start doing stupid shit to it.

Like starwarz?? not that i dont like starwarz, but if i want a starwarz game, i will go get a starwarz game, and there are a few out there that are good.

I tried the starwarz mod for Dungeon Siege, and it was just STUPID....

Actually i think the perfect game would be if AmericasArmy was done 1942 style. Make the maps bigger, and add the vehicles to it, and nothing out there would be able to touch AA :)

The idea of adding motorcycle w/sidecars is a good one!

This would be a welcome addition to the Europe maps. Motorcycles with and w/out sidecars were commonplace; Though the Germans had the most interesting bike configurations, the British and Russians frequently used motorcycles too. Bikes were often great infantry weapons, carrying as many as three soldiers; a driver, a machine-gunner in the sidecar and a rifleman on the backseat. nazis.jpg

Some bikes had pretty impressive firepower too, sporting such weapons as grenade launchers, rocket launchers and 7.62mm PK machine guns...

... and some were built halftrack style like the German Kettenkrad seen here: id_kettenkrad_full2.gif

I digress with this one, but how about some mobile AA?!

And Yes, World War I would be nice to see ... Chlorine & mustard gas and all that fun stuff.

Cheers-

Something that has to do with Middle Earth (cuz every game has to have something LotR :assimilate: )

Some very very cool mod ideas. I just have one more mod to propose. It may seem a little to arcady for some of you but I think it would work quite well.

A StarCraft mod.

Now some of you may be wondering, what in the world is a "starcraft"? Well, its a rts that might transition well into the fps world with this game engine.

just one more mod idea. The human catapult!!! that would be sooo funny. :stallard:
