K, i was just getting good at modding v1.1 and then they switched everything and nothing works any more  . I'm making a couple of gun mods for v1.2 but I don't have a clue what the file structure needs to be for them to work. I noticed the blood patch and collection mods work but none of mine seem to. If someone could state where my mod needs to be placed and any extra files i need to add to it, it would be very helpful. Thnx.

What I did was download Africa Tank Battle for v1.2 It was the first (and only at the time) mod that worked for 1.2. I installed it and looked at It's file structure. After that, piece of cake.

Sounds like you're editing objects.rfa right?

make a new folder under Battlefield1942\Mods\ Give it the name of your mod. We'll call it Bar1918mod for this demonstration. it would look like: Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod

Under that folder,

Copy Init.con from Battlefield1942\Mods\bf1942 to Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod\ Edit Init.con and put in the appropriate information for your mod Don't delete the line that says: game.addModPath Mods/BF1942/ Change the CustomGameName to the name of the folder you created. In this case, "Bar1918mod" then add: game.addModPath Mods/Bar1918mod/

Delete all the stuff that calls the .bik files, unless you want to put those in your Bar1918mod\Movies\ but it'd be pointless unless you like uploading large files for no reason.

Now, in: Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod create a new folder called Archives and another called Movies

Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod\Archives Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod\Movies

Now, copy background.bik from Battlefield1942\Mods\bf1942\Movies to Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod\Movies

If your edited file is something out of objects.rfa, then name the archive, objects.rfa and put it in [Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod\Archives[/b]

If everything is done right, you're modded objectsfile will be located here:

Battlefield1942\Mods\Bar1918mod\Archives\objects.rfa
