Hi I started to do a new map theme: Pearl Harbor I found many many stuff and informations about this day. And I have a map which shows the whole island. But if someone is willing to make a P 40 model which is able to fly(and looks great ;)) eMail me. [email]FirstAce@web.de[/email]

Informations: Bases: -1 Allied(so far away that they need 2-3min with jeep to the harbor) -1 Axis Destroyer(you have to go to your carriers, they are nearby)

Capturepoints: -1 Capturepoint Allies in the Harbor(should be taken from the Allies, to respawn in the main base) -1 Capturepoint (Allies, under Prince of Wales=Arizona, maybe I'll create another skin for this ship so it looks more like the Arizona) -1 Capturepoint (Allies, under another ship, don't know which one yet) -1 Capturepoint Air (not taken)

Victoryconditions: -Axis: Have to capture the shipspoints and the airpoint(3 from 4 points) -Allied: Have to capture the air and the main base capturepoint and hold the Arizona. To win destroy the enemy carriers, so they don't ge reinforcements. (3 from 4 points)

Units:

Allied: 4 Jeeps to go to the harbor 2 Planes(maybe P 40 if I get one, otherwise Corsair) at an small airfield outside the main base) 3 Planes(same as above) in the main base at the airfield Many ships don't know how many now

Axis: 3 Carriers 9 Planes (3 Zero, 3 Bomber, 3 Torpedo Bomber) on each carrier one plane of on type. They respawn fast, like in the coral sea map. 2 Destroyer 1 Submarine to break in Pearl Harbor :D

Oh no, another map...When will it end...:D jk Thank you all modders for keeping another game alive!! And I don't understand why DICE didn't include Pearl Harbor in the first place...

Anyway, good luck, may it be a great map!

Hi!

I need 1 week to get all informations I need. But than I start and work as hard as I can. It will be the whole Island so lots of work. But I think it would be great to take revenge for this attack. So wait a few weeks and than destroy the Japanese fleet. You will be able to leave the port with the Allied ships(if the Japanese are not fast enough to destroy them).

So I'll work as fast as I can!

That map sounds like it has some promise but that whole 3:00 for a jeep to get to the main area is probably too insane for me. The thing that i really don't understand about Battlefield 1942 is why having a kamikaze run onto a ship doesn't effect it at all! If you could fix that for this map it would be the most insane map ever to be created until I start work on a good Dog Green Sector.

Hi!

Yea I thought about it. I wanted to plug in a feature, that you can only go in a Axis plane but not out. So u can only get out, if you fly kamikaze or u will be shot by aa. I'm working on it, but this are one of the last steps in my list. So I'll try.

Hey All,

I'm glad to see that some folks are tackling the Pearl Harbor experience. It should have been included in the game.

Myself and some others are working on a whole Operation Market Garden Expansion Pack (Around 10 maps) and we'll be working on a Pearl Harbor map and a Battle of Britain map in the future. We are kinda changing some of the Conquest mode's features like instead of capping a flag, you need to blow something up by bombing factories in Battle of Britain etc.. We are very new to modding (never done it before) but we have been able to use Rexman's Tools to change spawn objects but we have been unable to copy static objects in 3d Max without the game crashing midway through loading a custom map. If you have some ideas about how to edit some of the .con files to accomplish some of our goals, please let us know.

Here are some details of the Pearl Harbor map:

Possibly the whole Island scaled down except for the harbor.

Lots of Allied ships (all static-you cant move them except for a destroyer). Battleship Row with each battleship having a spawn point.

The objective of the Axis is to sink the battleships thus eliminating spawn points for the Americans.

The American objective is simply to hold at least one spawn point until the map ends (The ships will not respawn).

There wil be 2 or 3 American airbases (Hickam, Wheeler, etc...)

The airbases will have plenty of mounted mg's and flak batteries.

You will have to leave a ship by landing craft to get to the beaches that will have jeeps to drive to the planes. By the time that you get to the planes, the Axis attack planes should be overhead and in the harbor because the Axis carriers will be placed at each corner of the map with a different type of plane on each (Bomber, Torpedo, Fighter).

The Axis will have 2 subs already in the harbor with spawn points.

One thing that you have to keep in mind on a map like this is the number of moving spawn points like on ships. The game has to keep calculating their locations so if you make things unable to move, the trade-off will = more planes and smoother gameplay.
