Singel player dosent lag much but I cant get the patch to install so I cant tell you about multi.

Also, its spelled THE, and putting a space after punctuation, like that, helps alot.

Hi Top Gun 14,

The single player isn't laggy, it can't be laggy because it is being played on one machine, lag is caused by internet latency. The single player game is JERKY, and this is because your CPU can't handle the number of bots you are throwing at it. Try lowering the number of bots or decreasing the CPU time devoted to the bots and you will find it plays a lot better.

The only way to make the single player less jerky without reducing the number of bots is to throw a bigger CPU at it, your vid card will have no effect no matter what you do.

Hope this helps

Dude yourself Top Gun 14,

Let me rephrase that -

The single player isn't laggy, it can't be laggy because it is being played on one machine, lag is caused by internet latency. The single player game is JERKY, and this is because your CPU can't handle the number of bots you are throwing at it. Try lowering the number of bots or decreasing the CPU time devoted to the bots and you will find it plays a lot better.

Oops that came out exactly the same - I guess it must be right then!

In fact on reading the manual it says:

CPU time given to AI - The higher this value is set the more it impacts game performance

and

Number of bots - Lower-end machines should try lowering this value if the frame rate is poor in single player games.

And while I know you probably think your machine is the bees knees I can assure you that it is an entry level machine, you can hardly buy a CPU these days under 2Ghz. For single player games I would consider a 2Ghz CPU to be only just powerful enough to run a 32 player game with any degree of success - it is in fact a lower end machine these days.
