where can i find the rfa. and bitmap files?

the bitmaps are in the rfas which are at EA Games/Battle Feild 1942/mods/bf1942/archives

and the bitmap is not im my C/program files/ Ea games/battlefield1942/mods/bf1942/archives/levels folder.

yer, u need to extract the rfa with the rfa extractor :deal:

the images of the planes and tanks i can't find. (i have the rfa.extractor but the iamges are not in the level!)

yer, the tanks and all are in objects.rfa ad *.dds files, u need a dds pulgin to edit, try www.nvidia.com for this one

For anyone who wants to start modding battlefield (or ANY game for that matter) READ THE TUTORIALS FIRST!

Goto www.BF42.com and click on their forums. Then select the thread that relates to editing and such. The first 5 posts deal with everything from the basics to the advanced. Then when you have a question, come and ask. You'll save yourself alot of time, waiting for a response. When I first toyed around with .con editing, I kept the tutorial loaded in the background as a reference. Once you read how the game works, and start to develop an understanding of where and why certain files are, it's alot easier.
