[COLOR=burlywood]It's a good effort but the first is obviously just a simple spray paint tool used on the textures and this one looks like a paint brush maybe. That'd be fine since it doesn't matter how or what tools you use to create a skin as long as it works for the overall style of it, but neither of these Sherman files really look like snow or camouflage. You might want to experiemnt with layering, programs like Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro have a variety of tools that can yield awesome results, although the learning curve is higher with those than MS Paint and simpler programs. Also, maybe check out some actual photographs of winter camo and base your design off that. Some skinners even copy the actual camouflage from photos then effectively paste it onto the skin textures and that works great too.
