can't get it to work, i extract texture.rfa from archive put in battelfield folder unzip colt it overwrites file i rename archives texture.rfa to texture.old i run the game i lose my texture it goes gray on me any help thax

[COLOR=burlywood]Let's see. It sounds like you successfully extracted the texture.rfa which then creates a Texture folder. That folder should be in your root Battlefield folder- for me that's c:\games\Battlefield 1942\ and my Texture folder looks like this c:\games\Battlefield 1942\Texture. You said you extracted the colt .dds file into your texture folder and it overwrote the pre-existing one, right? Then you go into your Archives folder, find the texture.rfa and rename it to oldtexture.old (try that name, might make a difference). If you do it exactly like I've said there, you should have your textures along with the colt. So double check and make sure there aren't any sneaky texture rfa's somewhere throwing a wrench in the works.[/COLOR]

The textures folder and the archives one should be in the same dir.

still no go, i can't do any mods in the game the only texture i got is the ground every thing is still gray i did what you guys said to do i can extract the texture. rfa from archive it makes a textuer folder in side the battlefield folder i can unzip the new colt in texture folder i rename the texture.rfa in archive oldtexture.old & texture.old that did not work i moved the texture folder into the archive that did not work any more help thax's you for the replys
