After playing around with my files i managed to get a sound mod working! Now i extracted my textures files to my main folder which is bf1942. I removed the old tex file out of the archives folder and puut on my desktop for safe keeping and back up. I put a test skin in went to SP and when the game loaded everything was white? WHat did i do wrong to make everything white? Everything seems fine with my sound mod but the textures dont work the same way as i did my sound mod? Any help would be appreciated:D

A sound mod changes the weapons, tank sounds. It changes all the sounds in the game. Right now i have a sound mod where you can hear the tank reloading which i like sounds more realistic. I couldnt stand the default sounds.

Make sure you don't have another texture folder inside your texture folder. Also check for texture_xxx.rfa where xxx is some number. If that file exist inside the folders, the game won't read the texture folder.

Btw, the main folder should be \EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942 not bf1942 inside the Mods folder.

I got sound to work but that wasnt hard. Now to get the textures to work. Is there a tutorial somewhere i can read on how to make textures work on 1.2? I hardly understand the RFA maker except for making RFA files. Ill have to fiddle around with it later and see what happens. Right now im going christmas shopping and buying the band of brothers DVD.

Now I found the trick!Put your extracted folders in main like DiscoNinja discribed and everyone who has MDK's bloodpatch 1.2 installed, move this folder into main as well. That's it!

Thats it? No need to make an rfa? So i just extract the texture file from my main folder into another DIR put all the skins i want in there and put my new texture folder into my main folder of BF and thats it? They will show up?

EDIT: I just read on another website that wont work. If i was a modder i wouldnt have to ask for help on how to get my skins to work on 1.2. I feel like gong back to 1.11 but i lvoe the changes ea/dice made to 1.2. If anybody can find it in ther heart to help me i have ICQ and msn. It wouldnt hurt to talk me through the process now would it?
