Both mini mods and Large mods alike should go under the mods/ folder into thier respective folders. Each mini mod or large mod can have thier own init.con file and should also list what other mods you would like to run with that particular mod, if any.

If you have a MP mod and want it used everytime, then simply add the mods name to your bf1942 init.con file as another addmodpath. This can be a mini or large mod that can be played online like Merciless or Third Person View and you want it launched everytime with your game.

Custom mods which you want to play online with friends or other servers also can be used this same way.

You have to watch what you mix together due to corrupt data errors or custom mods not working well with each other.

Here is my bf1942 init.con:

And here for an example is a Mini Mod init.con for Kubelkopter Heli's : In this particular one I also added a line temporarily to test out a Rebel Gunship with a fellow teamate. This is how you can easliy mix modpath statements and is how it should be done for simplicity of adding and mixing mods. Note You have to also list in your custom mods init.con any addmodpaths you have listed in your bf1942 init.con for them to load properly. just becuase they are already listed in your bf1942 init.con will not activate those mods when you are playing a custom mod.

[color=skyblue]When you set your game directories and init.con files this way it is far easier than deciding what goes where for each mod. When you connect to most game servers running the same setup as you there is no need to Activate your "mini mod's" or "large mods" in the custom game menu, they will automatically be activated when the game see's which mod the server has activated.[/color]

Thanks for the tutorial. A little bit confusing but I think I figured it out. BTW, whats the name of your kubelkopter server?

Thank you both, just trying to help alot of frustration out there.

The name of the server is typically "Blarno's KubelKopter Helis V4.12"

IP address = 68.64.234.77

It's not up always but mostly when I get the chance, which seems to be more in the evening 5PM~1AM PA, USA EST time. :agreed:

when i tried that with bocageplusfinal and started the game, it started loading the map for a second or two then quit to windows and closed bf. ?? weird thing is, i just installed that heavy bombardment mod and it worked.
