Be patient guys. I'll be releasing something pretty soon that will rejoice BF players. But it did took awhile for me to think about working on another mod. Why?

I had misadventures with Action BF. Action BF was the first real "big" mod for BF1942. People liked it and I was receiving a good 25-50 emails every day about suggestions/help/comments for this Mod.

Now since patch 1.2, file structure changed and ABF doesn't work well... People want version 1.2 of it. I don't want other modders to modify the existing Action BF to fit patch 1.2, cuz some bugs need to be fixed and also cuz I'm the author of this Mod! :) And I want to give MORE to BF players. I would need to rewrite ABF's code entirely to do a good job and add a couple of cool things.

Another problem. Since ABF was released, people started to make "compilation" of Mods, including parts of Action BF's code wich, honestly, didn't make me happy (I never was asked about it). After seeing that steeling everybody's code and releasing mini-mods was common by some newbies, I quickly understood that the etiquette of a Mod and its authenticity wasn't something considered. And that this would happen again and again, removing all the credit to the work of the original author and spreading tons of different Mini-Mods around. This prevents people from focusing on the serious Mods.

With the arrival of major mods (Cis, BHD...) it is obvious that medium mods would need to do more and more to stay in place. Stealing code from a mod is too common and doesn't help in making it grow in importance. I decided to put aside mod making and concentrate on map making. (even tho I've got a totaly new mod in progress right now)

Modifying existing maps and making original maps (I've got a new original map coming soon) is something more interesting from my point of view. A map is unique and is recognised as an artistic and strategic accomplishment.

So, be patient...I've got a new map coming soon and a Mod also. Those are based on public demand, as usually, and should make tons of BF players happy.

I don't know when they'll be released, that will depend on free time and interest by BF1942 players.

Until then, have fun playing BF1942, hope to catch you in a game!

People already stealing my sky textures... world settings...

copy----paste!

voila!

I understand people like my work, as I'm putting a lot of time into it, and I understand they wanna use my stuff in their own personnal project, as small as it can be, but PLEASE ASK ME BEFORE YOU USE MY STUFF FOR PUBLIC RELEASE!!!! At least!

ya know...if more people would realize all they have to do is ask, it would be a much nicer world...hell, most of the time the author is going to say yes, but just wants to have a line in the credits or something....to be "acknowledged" for their acheivement....but no, alas, to many people who have no consideration for other's work..... :(
