Can someone explain to me how promotions work? Do you need a certain amount of XP, skills, or what?

I found the link didn't work so for everyone else. I will use Allied ranks just for ease it works the exact same for the Axis. To gain Private First Class you need to have one star (20XP) in any one class. To advance Corporal you need two stars (50XP) in any one class. To get Sergeant you need three stars (90XP) in any one class. To get Lieutenant you must have four stars (140XP) in any one class. Each rank beyond Lieutenant requires another full (four stars) class. For Example to get Captain you could have four stars in Light Weapons and four stars in Engineering. You WILL NOT receive higher ranks if you only get one, two or three stars in a certain class. To get General, the highest rank, you are required to get four stars in all seven class; Light Weapons, Battle Sense, Heavy Weapons, First Aid, Engineering, Signals and Covert Ops. XP doesn’t effect rank other than getting the stars. I’ve seen players with 1200XP that are full Generals and players with 1700XP that are Majors.

BTW...don't get too bogged down in rank. Do what you enjoy, but also help your team. If you are the only medic, don't chane up jsut to get more rank. Help your team first, then explore the other roles.
