GDPR, The General Data Protection Regulations, takes effect from this Friday 25th of May.

The new regulations bring a lot of extra protections and rights to users within the European Union. As a result, we have made changes to our site, and we have also updated our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

What does this mean for me?

By continuing to use this site, you agree to the updated terms and privacy policy. In addition, we are making some changes to our site to facilitate these changes in the law;

  • If you had email notifications enabled, these will be disabled, and after May 25th, you will need to re-enable these via your Control Panel if you wish to continue to receive them.

  • New tools will be available within the control panel that will allow you to download all the personal data we hold about you, including posts, threads, comments, files and other personal information such as DOB, Name, etc.

  • New tools will be available in the control panel to delete your account. This will totally erase your account, posts, files, threads and any other trace of your presence on the site. There will be no way to undo this, so only use this option if you're absolutely sure you want to do so.

  • We will be replacing our contact forms and support forum with a new Support Ticket system. All support tickets can be logged, tracked and responded to this way, and in addition, a Knowledge base will be created to answer all Frequently Asked Questions.

If you have any questions about these changes, please ask.

Thanks

-FT

Thanks EU for the epic amount of spam I now have in my inbox of every single company imaginable letting me know their terms have been updated.

Deleting any trace of your presence on the site? I thought that was not possible on the internet. As far as I knew, deleting stuff only deleted them on your end, but the server archives still had everything.

Thought? Opinions?
