Could you give me a link to the file please? For scenario design, go here - http://ageofempires3.filefront.com/info/scenario Another member of staff more skilled in making maps will answer you when he gets online.
i found the file in ageofempires3filefront.com in the section warchiefs/mods...the name was aoemods-version 1...
Yeah, I have tested the installer a little bit. What happends when you try to install it? Otherwise i can't help you...:uhm: About maps.. There are two types of maps. RMS and Scenarios.
Scenarios Are created through the game editor. You create the landscape, place units and use triggers. This is the most common maps and also the most fun if you ask me. Scenarios is just about tasks and different gameplay.
RMS (Random Map Script), Is like regular maps you play online or in skirmish. RMS maps are created through coding in txt. files.
So, What kind of map were you thinking about?
First of all thanks for the answers....Well when i install it it goes perfectly well, all the features work as described...But i cannot see the american civilazation.Everything else works very well(units, buildings etc)...When i try to create a home cith the americans simply are not there(although they appear in the scenario editor).Another minor problem is that i cannot create the shortcut file(but that doesn't matter) Concerning maps i am interested in creating my own map so i can play skirmish games...Is this possible?
Maybe it's because you have patched your game? I'm afraid that i can't help you so much with that..:uhm:
Making RMS maps is hard to learn. Anyway this is what you should do if you want to learn.
Go to this page, It has all links and infromation you'll need.
Also, If you need to ask questions Here!
Or...If you don't want to learn, Just easily make a rms. Then this is the tool for you..Here! Sadly, It's on german.
