Just starting making maps -- Is there a list somewhere of AI definitions Trigger meanings? Or a Guide to overall use of the map editor?

The current problems I am having are: 1. I can't switch who is human and who is CPU ( switching in Profile Data does not in fact switch it when you go to play) 2. The CPU player will not attack (only defend) and I chose a couple different AI's at random without altering the playing result. 3. The CPU player's villagers will not work (or move) 4. The CPU player will not generate more military.

(I have other questions as well but if anyone could help that would be great.)

1). you cant. you have to define which players will be computer and human, it wont do it randomly for ya. 2). try loading aomdefaultai.xs. if its the same result, then download new AIs here: http://aom.heavengames.com/downloads/lister.php?category=ai

for the other questions, try the AI i told you , or download other new AIs.

I tried the aomdefaultai.xs (which i gleaned from the dozens of other posts that i neglected to read prior to submitting mine) and what I found was that the cpu attacked, and started farming and built a siege works, but in fact built no other military and did not cut trees, mine gold or kill animals. At any rate I will try the site you mentioned.

Other than that site, is there anywhere else that I can get some kind of manual for the basic construction 'how-to' of the AI's or Triggers?

thanks

So I checked out the aom heaven site and downloaded about six different AI's. I applied them in what I thought was the appropriate manner but none of them worked. If there is any advice you've got I would certiainly appreciate it.

hmm, it also depends on what sircustances is the computer AI attempting to work. If you put computer in a little square island with some resources, and unfammilar ambient, the AI wont react the same way it usually does. I, for instance never had any problems playing with computer on my The Bridge Scenario. Send me the scenario to www.freewebs.com/smallhours i'll see what i can do for ya;)
