The story of Gilgamesh is the worlds earliest epic poem, and the two main hereos in it are Gilgamesh and Enkidu. The poem is from ancient Sumer, and it is very interesting, and very long. I reccommend that you read it sometime.;) However, the two heroes in it are really cool, and I was thinking if you made a texture mod it could include a Satyr (because Enkidu has horns on his head) and maybe Arkantos with some more armor because his model resembles Gilgamesh, who was the king of Ur. If anybody has any clue what im talking about, and is really bored.....Why not make a mod?

Here are some descriptions from the epic

For The King Gilgamesh they said: "His form was surpassing: eleven cubits his height, nine spans the breadth of his chest. Two-thirds of him was divine, onethird human -- Gilgamesh is essentially spiritual, but not yet fully divinized." which means he was huge, and a hero-king, so he had bronze armor and a spear which he used mostly (i think). and Enkidu was his partner, but was more beastly, they said he was:"...a warrior like the war god Ninurta. His whole body was thickly covered with hair, his head covered with the long hair of a woman." he also had horns on his head. He was raised in the wilderness until Gilgamesh sent a priestess out to him to clean him up, and teach him how to speak Sumerian so he could come to into the city. Enkidu was about the same size as Gilgamesh, as the gods supposevly tried to do, and was just as strong. He was not two parts god, however. (which is why the texture should not be a hero's.) And he also refused to use the bronze weapons and armor, instead he fought with his hands or spears, (like a satyr from AoM.) Is that a good enough description? :google:
