Hey, just wondering if someone could give me a basic rundown on the triggers. I'm having trouble after making a map, when it starts up nobody does anything. No gathering or building etc. What do I have to do in the triggers to do the basics like that and get the ai going. Like I said, if someone could just give me a quick rundown on how to use the triggers or guide me in the right direction I would be greatful, thanks

AI isn't a trigger. You can set the player's AI by going to the 'scenario' menu at the top. Select 'player data'. On the right of the window you will see a button that says 'AI'. Click this, select one of the AIs that are listed and click 'open'. Now the computer should do basic things like build and collect resources. My advice would be to download additional AIs from AOMH or AOMFiles as the default AIs that come with the game are hopeless.

actually, you can control a player civilization via triggers, but doing this wont make it exactly an AI.

like Random Map Scripting, AI requires programming skills, such as C++. but the bad news, it that AI scripting is even harder than Random Map Scripting..anyways, go to player data in the editor, select the computer player, and arrange the following AI:

also, when you select this AI, click Open. if you double click, the AI wont load.
