Just wanted to start a thread that gives people a place to say Thank You to the staff. I am sure most people don't think about how much time and effort goes into keeping a site such as this functioning effectively. If you have surfed other sites featuring games, you know how chaotic, unresponsive, and just plain nasty the Web can be. Staff here does an excellent job. They aren't perfect, just Human. But they'll do just fine, ya'll, 'til perfect gets here. Thanks, guys much appreciated.

I think this thread should be filled with positive replies, where are they people?. Or have you Staff done something to upset everyone;). I think you guys do a brilliant job.
I'm guessing some people appreciate us more than others ;) And then, as strange as it is, not everyone who visits the site, visits the forums...

Yeh, but still lots of people do visit the A2 part of the forum:nodding:
Gavin is correct. The silence in here is deafening. I assumed more people would post at least a quick thank you, if for nothing else to boost their own post count. This makes me think one of two things is occuring. a) The modrators on A2 Files are so good at their job, they are transparent to the majority of the community who have little contact them. As an example of non-transparent moderators, I give you the C&C Generals Files. That site is very different from here in tone and outlook. b) People nowadays don't think good manners are a necessity. Again, look at some of the other FileFront gaming sites to see an "in yo' face" attitude which colors most everything. General rudeness seems to be a lot more unrestrained on the Web, where people look at a screen rather than someone else's face. This leads to them saying things and acting out in ways they wouldn't dare to if you were physically present when they did it. Good manners, like breathing, should be instinctive. When I started this thread, I was acting on that. I vainly assumed there were at least a few others who saw things as I do. *off topic* BTW Gavin, I never D/L any mod without posting something positive in the Comments Section immediately below it. That is why I did not start a Thank You, Modders thread.
+ Green for you thunderfoot :) I know exactly what you mean. On occasion, the DoWForums are like 'that' people Spam, and there is one guy (who doesn't need to be named) who is getting on everyones nerves. I must say, that out of A2 & DoW, A2 is the easier Forum to Moderate because the community knows the rules, and sticks to them. Ok, some posts lack content, but we don't get people posting 'lol' or 'ok' as a post. Shame that manners aren't sought of more. Its a shame to think that is the way of society.
