I have a problem running Armada I on my Windows XP machine. The unit speech and pre-mission movie sounds are very choppy at best, nonexistant at worst. It is a Win 95/98 version of the game. ARe there any fixes for this issue, or do I need to start scouring Ebay for WinXP versions of this game?

Well, one thing i learnt when playing A1 is that i could fix that issue a little.

Click Start\Run\dxdiag And click sound 1 on the tabs.

Then go to the part where it says "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" and if it is at Full Acceleration, turn it right down to No Acceleration. That fixed it for me, i still got the odd sound error because A1 is designed to play on Windows XP.
